- Composite bonding. Your smile makeover starts here

Composite bonding has become a very popular treatment in recent years because it can achieve dramatic results in just one appointment.

Composite bonding is very cost-effective and the results last around five years before needing to be replaced.

Composite bonding can be carried out as a standalone treatment, but it is often used as part of a wider treatment plan – it is a great way of adding final adjustments to a smile. This is why composite bonding is a popular treatment to have after teeth straightening treatment, and it also works well in conjunction with teeth whitening, too.

Composite bonding is a fantastic treatment to mask minor imperfections such as:

- How composite bonding works

Composite bonding treatment is carried out in just one appointment, but prior to the treatment, we will carry out a full consultation so that we can gain an understanding of your smile goals.

On the day of your appointment we will first thoroughly clean the area to be treated and apply a gel that microscopically roughens the surface. This creates a surface that the composite material can adhere to. Tooth-coloured filling material that perfectly matches your natural tooth shade will be applied in layers and sculpted to create the desired shape. The final layer will be polished to look exactly like natural tooth structure and will feel completely smooth.

Composite bonding treatment takes place in a single appointment, offering a smile makeover in just one day.

- What are the benefits of Invisalign?

Invisalign aligners are almost invisible. Many of our patients report that their family, friends, and colleagues don’t even notice that they are undergoing orthodontic treatment.

These virtually invisible aligners offer a seamless fit with your lifestyle and day-to-day interactions with others.

Invisalign aligners are removable giving you the flexibility to enjoy your favourite foods and drinks during treatment by simply removing the aligners. You can also take out the aligners to brush and floss as you normally would for fresh breath and to maintain good oral hygiene.

Unlike traditional fixed braces, Invisalign uses no metal brackets or wires. Not only does this mean your orthodontic treatment is invisible, it is also more comfortable. In addition, less time is spent visiting the dental practice for adjustments.

Thanks to the ClinCheck software and our iTero scanner (no messy impressions here!), Invisalign allows you to view your virtual results before you even begin treatment - so you can see how your teeth are expected to look when your treatment is complete.

- Composite bonding: Frequently asked questions

  • How long does composite bonding last?

With proper care and maintenance, we expect composite bonding treatment to last around five years before it needs replacing.

  • Will composite bonding whiten my teeth?

Composite bonding cannot be whitened with tooth whitening gel. If you would like your whiter teeth, a course of teeth whitening treatment is recommended prior to composite bonding. Once you have achieved your desired shade, we can match your composite bonding shade to your natural teeth.

  • Do my teeth need to be straight before composite bonding?

Every case is different and composite bonding may be an adequate treatment to mask minor misalignment. In some cases, we may recommend teeth straightening treatment first.

  • Does composite bonding look natural?

Yes. At Parkview, we pride ourselves on providing highly aesthetic cosmetic dental treatments that look exceptionally natural.
