- Cost of teeth whitening treatment at Parkview Dental Centre

- What’s included in your treatment cost?

- Dramatic results every time

Teeth whitening is a very popular treatment at Parkview Dental Centre because it offers dramatic results in a natural way, making it a minimally invasive treatment.

We use professional teeth whitening gels that are only available as prescribed by a dental professional. Teeth whitening gels are regulated products, which ensures patient safety while also being extremely effective.

Over time, teeth naturally stain for a variety of reasons, including the foods and drinks we consume, habits such as smoking, and the aging process. Teeth whitening treatment works to remove these stains to reveal your naturally whiter, brighter shade.

- How does teeth whitening treatment work?

At Parkview Dental Centre, we will first carry out an initial consultation.

This will enable us to understand your smile goals and assess your teeth and gums to ensure everything looks good to go ahead with treatment. During this first appointment, we will then take an impression of your teeth, which will be used by our dental lab to create your whitening trays.

Once your whitening trays come back from the dental lab, you will come in to collect them and your whitening gel kit. Your dentist will show you how much gel to put in your trays and explain how long you should wear them for.

Your teeth whitening treatment should be carried out at home, as directed by your dentist. We recommend carrying out your whitening treatment every day for 14 days. At this point, most patient will have reached their desired shade, however some patients may find they reach their whitening goals in fewer days, and others may require a little longer. This all depends on your start shade and smile goals.

We will book a review appointment after two weeks so that we can assess your tooth shade and advise whether you should continue whitening.

- What are the benefits of Invisalign?

Invisalign aligners are almost invisible. Many of our patients report that their family, friends, and colleagues don’t even notice that they are undergoing orthodontic treatment.

These virtually invisible aligners offer a seamless fit with your lifestyle and day-to-day interactions with others.

Invisalign aligners are removable giving you the flexibility to enjoy your favourite foods and drinks during treatment by simply removing the aligners. You can also take out the aligners to brush and floss as you normally would for fresh breath and to maintain good oral hygiene.

Unlike traditional fixed braces, Invisalign uses no metal brackets or wires. Not only does this mean your orthodontic treatment is invisible, it is also more comfortable. In addition, less time is spent visiting the dental practice for adjustments.

Thanks to the ClinCheck software and our iTero scanner (no messy impressions here!), Invisalign allows you to view your virtual results before you even begin treatment - so you can see how your teeth are expected to look when your treatment is complete.

- Teeth whitening: Frequently asked questions

  • How long does teeth whitening treatment last?

Every patient is different and factors such as diet and smoking will affect your teeth whitening results. Most patients like to top up their teeth whitening every six months using a single syringe of gel.

  • Is teeth whitening safe?

Teeth whitening products from your dentist are extremely safe. All of the teeth whitening products we use are highly regulated to ensure both effectiveness and safety.

  • Will my dental crowns whiten?

Teeth whitening treatment can only whiten natural teeth. The shade of dental crowns, veneers or composite bonding will not alter with teeth whitening treatment, so you may need to consider replacing them to match your new, whiter shade.
