Dr Dirk Schuth

Dr Schuth has completed over 30,000 orthodontic cases over the past 15 years. He has also run his own orthodontic clinic. Here at The Mount, Dr Schuth provides a variety of treatments including metal and ceramic braces, lingual braces, Invisalign® and clear aligner treatment. Dr Schuth is also the only SureSmile® clear aligner provider in the North of England.

When he is not helping our patients improve their smiles, Dr Schuth enjoys spending time with his wife and children. His family leads a very active lifestyle, and he loves to support his children in their various sports activities. Skiing is his family’s favourite sport.

Dr Sunil Kumar Sah

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr Sah is the first Nepalese (now British) dual-qualified Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in the UK. He studied dentistry at the University of Dhaka and eventually obtained his MFDS in Dentistry and MRCS in General Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.
 
Next, Dr Sah completed an accredited five-year programme to obtain his FRCS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr Sah undertook a rigorous and lengthy education process to become a specialist in oral surgery, but his journey does not end here. He continues to nurture his passion for education by keeping up-to-date on the latest research in his field and by sharing his knowledge with others.

Both in the UK and abroad, Dr Sah has been involved in educational activities to train more surgeons and allied professionals to service the unmet needs of populations in low- and middle-income countries. He has established services and training programmes in countries including Nepal, India and Bangladesh. He has also taught courses in Nepal.

Dr Sah contributed a chapter in "The Earthquake Nepal 2015 - The Human Story" by Rosa Matheson. This chapter discussed his experience as a British facial surgeon treating earthquake victims in Nepal.

Dr Sah recently became a Trustee of a small UK Charity called Future Faces. This charity fosters the training and development of surgeons and allied professionals in deprived areas who care for people with craniomaxillofacial deformities, facial trauma and other problems in the head and neck region. Future Faces also works with other charities and educational organisations in the UK and abroad with the goal of improving care for craniofacial disease and deformity through local sustainable capacity development.

Following qualification, firstly as a biomedical scientist and then as a dentist, Alexander chose to spend his postgraduate year working in Suffolk. Alexander has an interest in patients with dental anxiety and is currently working toward his Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at The Royal College of Surgeons England.

In 2015, Alexander was elected as an associate of King’s College London and was also recognised for his dedication and efforts in raising awareness and funds for the Dental Wellness Trust, a charity promoting dental wellness to less fortunate communities in the UK and abroad. In his spare time, Alexander is a keen musician.

Andreea studied dentistry at the Dental University of Bucharest and graduated in 2002, from there she became registered with the GDC. After working in her own private surgery in Bucharest she decided that she would like to try something new, experience other countries and cultures and therefore she moved to the UK in 2010. She has been working since then, providing both NHS and private dentistry in Suffolk.

In this time, she became more passionate about endodontics. She studied this area of dentistry during a three-year Masters course at King’s College London and qualified with a Merit in 2018. In addition, Andreea has further studied to a postgraduate level for two years in contemporary restorative and aesthetic dentistry. Andreea is currently receiving referrals with us for endodontics privately from practitioners across Essex and Suffolk.

Andreea has a very caring and reassuring demeanour, and she prides herself in providing the best possible care and experience for her patients.

Dr John Good

John is our specialist orthodontist joining us to provide a whole range of orthodontic treatment. He qualified from the University of Dundee in 2012 and then worked for several years in Edinburgh and Glasgow, gaining valuable experience across the dental specialities and in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Following this, he embarked upon his specialist training in orthodontics based between The Royal London Hospital and Ipswich Hospital. During this time, he was awarded the Membership in Orthodontics from the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and completed a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry at Queen Mary University London, for which he was awarded the Jim Moss prize for his independent research on smile aesthetics.

Outside of work, John enjoys cycling and spending time with his wife Sophie and their dog Bear.

Thomas qualified from Kings College in London in 2014 having previously studied and worked as a neuroscientist. He has been working in general practice since qualification and divides his time between practices in Ipswich and London.  Thomas enjoys all aspects of dentistry with a particular interest in oral surgery and for restoring patients' mouths with dental implants. He recently attained his diploma in implant dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and has been a member of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons England since 2015.

Outside of dentistry, he spends a lot of time in the kitchen as he has a real passion for cooking. He is also a keen cyclist and is a lifelong Ipswich Town fan.

Malgorzata, known to her patients as Mal, studied dentistry at the Medical University of Lublin, Poland and qualified in 2001. In 2005 she moved to the UK. Mal has been caring for patients in Suffolk for many years and is known for her kind and gentle approach with her patients.

She has interest in aesthetic dentistry including composite fillings and teeth whitening. She aims to provide high quality aesthetic dentistry that is both ethical and minimally invasive which improves patients' smiles.

Mal enjoys keeping up to date with modern techniques by attending postgraduate courses and conferences. She completed Star Quality Tooth Whitening training by the British Dental Bleaching Society, Masterclass in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry and Five Module Minor Oral Surgery Course at King's College London Dental Education Centre.

In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis and exercises Pilates.

As a clinical supervisor, Clare plays an active role in teaching and mentoring Dental Core trainees, particularly whilst operating. She regularly runs hands-on MOS courses for GDPs which always receive excellent feedback, and occasionally lectures on other related topics.
