At Parkview Dental Centre in Ipswich we offer fixed braces systems that use brackets and wires that are attached to the teeth and cannot be removed.
They will stay in place throughout your treatment and you will have regular appointments so that we can make adjustments to the wires in order to move your teeth into the desired position.
Both ceramic braces and traditional metal braces are fitted to the front of the teeth but the brackets and wires are different. Ceramic braces use clear or tooth-coloured brackets and wires, so they are quite undetectable and are an excellent alternative to Invisalign. Traditional metal braces use silver-coloured brackets and wires but option is very effective where more complex treatment is required.
Lingual braces are fitted onto the back of the teeth, meaning they cannot be seen and are a very discreet treatment option.

To prevent this, retainers are a key part of any orthodontic journey as they are designed to ensure the teeth remain in their new, straight position.
At Parkview, we will provide bonded and removable retainers as part of your orthodontic package. Bonded retainers are permanently fixed in place on the back of the front teeth. Removable retainers are also worn in conjunction with the bonded retainer and your dentist will explain how often to wear them.
